Tournament proceeds will support Lake Regional’s Commitment to Caring. Through this initiative, Lake Regional seeks to transform health care delivery for two vitally important services: heart care and cancer treatment services. Currently, heart disease affects one in three Americans; cancer strikes nearly two in five.
More people than ever are surviving cancer and leading normal lives after heart-related issues, and Lake Regional’s programs help these patients thrive. To meet the growing needs of the region, Lake Regional plans to build a new Cardiac Institute and expanded Cancer Center.
The Cardiac Institute will create a new facility for cardiac care that brings together existing heart care clinics under one roof, with all of the diagnostic testing services needed to create a world-class experience for patients. Patients will see their provider and undergo testing services at the same location.
Expanding the Cancer Center will allow Lake Regional to care for more patients. An increase in chemotherapy space will provide more patient privacy and having pharmacy services on-site will increase convenience. The expansion also boosts visibility of Lake Regional’s services, increasing local awareness about the nationally accredited cancer care available close to home.
